Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt set the record straight before the event even happened, telling reporters, “The president is attending it in his personal time. It is not a White House dinner, it’s not taking place here at the White House.” But that didn’t stop the usual suspects from trying to turn it into a scandal.
Liberals Lose It Over Social Media Clips
What really sent the Left into hysteria were a few harmless social media videos. Crypto figure Justin Sun shared clips of Trump talking casually with guests at the golf club. In one, Trump says: “What a nice place. Did you get to see the helicopters?” When someone said yes, he joked about the club’s privacy: “Covered up pretty good. I don’t see a lot of window here. How do you like this location?”
Another clip showed gold watches being handed out—a typical gift at major business dinners.
What the Left won’t mention? Presidents for decades have had presidential seals on everything from golf bags to jackets. It’s been standard practice. This isn’t new. It’s not illegal. And it certainly isn’t scandalous.
But the media, desperate for a hit piece, is calling it “SealGate” and accusing Trump of misusing the presidential seal—ignoring the fact that he’s been both the brand and the face of his ventures long before taking office.
The Real Story: Trump’s Crypto Vision
While the media hyperventilated over a decorative seal, they completely ignored what Trump actually said. And what he said could define America’s future in the crypto space.
Ciara Sun posted a clip of Trump outlining a bold new direction for financial innovation:
“And we’re also opening the door for financial institutions to embrace Bitcoin and crypto, and financial institutions rapidly are opening. People that wouldn’t even talk to you, they’re all of a sudden, they’re embracing you, and you look like you’re, in many ways, more solid than they are, because you look over the last month or two, the strength and the way it held, as opposed to some industries, went down pretty badly, coming back strong.”
Trump went further, calling the crypto industry essential to America’s leadership in emerging tech:
“These are just a few of the exciting plans that we have underway for your industry and other industries also. The future of crypto and Bitcoin and all of the other things in America has never looked brighter,” he said.
“I think it’s really got a great, great future. I think you’re on the cutting edge. Everyone think it is just the beginning. And I can just say that we are, we’re believers in the whole administration. We’re big believers.”
Desperate Left Invents “SealGate”
So why the outrage?
Because Trump dared to promote freedom, innovation, and private-sector progress. Critics claim the use of the presidential seal was “inappropriate,” since federal law limits its use to official business. But again—this was a private event, at a private club, and no government business was conducted.
The so-called controversy is nothing more than noise from the same political operatives who’ve been throwing tantrums since 2016. They don’t care about ethics. They care about stopping Trump—no matter how absurd the excuse.
And once again, they’ve underestimated him.
While they waste time dissecting decorations, Trump is talking about the future of money, global finance, and American leadership. The panic isn’t really about a seal—it’s about Trump proving he’s still ahead of the curve while his critics grasp for straws.
If this is the best “scandal” they can come up with, it’s clear: Trump’s enemies are out of ammo, and he’s still setting the agenda.
