Coordinated Ambushes in U.S. Cities
Noem then pointed to a “really strange incident” in Chicago that revealed just how coordinated these attacks have become.
“We had a caravan of 10 different vehicles that were following our border patrol agents and officers that were out there on the streets of Chicago,” Noem explained. “And they had followed them and gotten them cornered, pinned them down and then our agents, when getting out of their cars, they tried to run them over and had semi-automatic handguns on them.”
Shots were fired, and one attacker was hospitalized after agents were forced to defend themselves. This wasn’t a random street clash. It was a planned ambush — involving multiple vehicles, weapons, and coordination.
The attacker had even warned them beforehand, shouting threats that “they all need to go down.”
Cartels and Terrorists Are Working Together
The most alarming part? This isn’t just about drug cartels anymore. Noem revealed that terrorist groups are involved too.
“It is gangs. It is cartel members and known terrorist organizations,” she said. “So, foreign terrorist organizations as deemed by the president, but also ones that we have known for many, many years.”

Noem warned that the cartels see ICE and Border Patrol as obstacles to their billion-dollar criminal operations — and they’re now trying to eliminate them.

Noem called out Oregon and Illinois directly.
“I encourage the governor of Oregon, and of Illinois, and that attorney general, should go down and spend some time with our ICE officers and with our border patrol officers and encounter the protesters that they do,” Noem stated.
She pointed out that while these Democrat leaders sit in secure buildings with personal security, ICE and Border Patrol agents face violent mobs and coordinated threats every day.
These same politicians who call enforcement operations “raids” have effectively painted targets on the backs of the very people protecting America’s borders.

Noem described the situation as “extremely dangerous” and “unprecedented.” The Department of Homeland Security has reportedly deployed protective details and adjusted field operations to keep targeted officers alive.
