The man who gunned down conservative leader Charlie Kirk in broad daylight believes he deserves a softer image in front of a jury.
Tyler Robinson, the 22-year-old killer who openly confessed to assassinating the Turning Point USA founder last month, is now demanding to trade his jail uniform for regular clothing during his murder trial.
Robinson’s lawyers filed a 21-page motion begging Judge Tony Graf to let their client appear in civilian clothes — not the bright orange jumpsuit that marks him as the confessed killer he is. They even requested that Robinson be allowed to attend court without shackles or handcuffs.
The motion cites the infamous Bryan Kohberger case, arguing Robinson deserves “fair treatment” under the Constitution.
“In the face of worldwide scrutiny, permitting Mr. Robinson to wear civilian clothing for court appearances is a minor inconvenience compared to the already present concerns with securing a fair trial before an impartial jury,” his lawyers wrote.
