The family of Robert Mueller, the former FBI Director best known for spearheading the discredited “Russiagate” investigation, has revealed that he has been quietly struggling with a debilitating illness.
According to reports, Mueller, 81, has been living in an assisted care facility, where he’s been battling Parkinson’s disease for several years. His condition became public after House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY) announced that he had withdrawn a subpoena for Mueller’s testimony, originally scheduled for September 2.
Mueller’s health revelations surfaced while Comer has been pushing forward with new subpoenas tied to investigations dating back to the George W. Bush era. Comer’s current probe is focused on the government’s handling of Jeffrey Epstein, the convicted sex offender whose sweetheart deal in 2008 continues to spark outrage.
