Some of the best moments in music history come when nobody’s planning them. That’s exactly what just happened when George Thorogood, the 75-year-old blues-rock legend, reminded everyone that he’s still every bit the rebel fans have loved for decades.
And this time, the “Bad to the Bone” rocker dropped four words about Mick Jagger that sent the crowd into a frenzy.
The showdown went down outside Houston’s House of Blues, a venue built for raw, unfiltered performances. Thorogood had just wrapped up a sold-out night with his band, The Destroyers, when he turned back toward a fan before heading onto his tour bus.
What he said next had nothing to do with the music.
