Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson has quickly become a one-woman resistance force on the nation’s highest court — and it’s raising eyebrows even among legal experts.
While her fellow justices often find agreement on key issues involving President Donald Trump’s executive actions, Jackson has planted herself firmly in the opposition camp, writing scathing dissents that some critics say sound more like political manifestos than legal opinions.
But now, Jackson’s lonely crusade has come under fierce criticism from University of Notre Dame Law Professor Derek T. Muller, who recently took to Fox News’ “The Will Cain Show” to deliver a pointed reality check.
“A lot of these cases are emergency cases. They’re coming up with very little briefing, very little time to consider them,” Muller said. “And it’s usually a district court that orders the president to stop doing something, one federal judge saying the president can’t act.”
