College athletics were once a showcase of America’s best values — hard work, discipline, and character. But one shocking case at the University of Kentucky has torn through that image, exposing just how far our culture has decayed.

A Stunning Fall From the Spotlight
Laken Snelling, a 21-year-old senior and member of Kentucky’s elite STUNT team, seemed to have it all. These aren’t casual students; STUNT athletes are among the most committed competitors on campus, training relentlessly and forming bonds forged by sweat and sacrifice.
But that picture of promise collapsed in an instant. On Sunday night, police arrested Snelling after making a discovery almost too horrifying to believe: a newborn baby boy, wrapped in a towel, stuffed inside a trash bag, and hidden in her closet.
According to authorities, Snelling confessed to delivering the child. She now faces charges including tampering with evidence, concealing the birth of an infant, and abuse of a corpse. The Fayette County Coroner has already conducted an autopsy, but results were inconclusive, requiring further microscopic analysis.
