A bombshell scandal is rocking New York’s political scene — and sparking alarms about foreign influence in America’s government — after FBI Director Kash Patel revealed fresh charges against a former aide who once served under Democratic Governors Andrew Cuomo and Kathy Hochul.
Linda Sun, once positioned at the center of New York’s pandemic response, is now engulfed in accusations of corruption, foreign espionage, and brazen profiteering while Americans struggled through lockdowns.
In a statement posted to social media, Patel minced no words about the gravity of the situation:
“While Americans were locked down and desperate for PPE, Linda Sun and Chris Hu cashed in – allegedly lining their pockets while serving CCP interests,” Patel wrote on X. “This is corruption that endangered lives. The FBI will not tolerate public officials who sell out their country.”
Sun, along with her husband Chris Hu, is accused of orchestrating a multimillion-dollar grift that funneled taxpayer funds into their own pockets — all while allegedly cozying up to the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).
