In its latest hit piece, the left-wing outlet claimed the Trump administration deported a Maryland man with legal protections in place due to a supposed “clerical error.” But according to the White House, that man is far from innocent.
White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt wasted no time setting the record straight, dropping four hard facts that dismantle the misleading article. What The Atlantic painted as a tale of bureaucratic injustice, the administration revealed as a lawful removal of a dangerous gang leader with a violent record.

“This individual who was deported to El Salvador and will not be returning to our country was a member of the brutal and vicious MS-13 gang. That is fact number one,” Leavitt said during a recent press briefing.
According to the administration, the man in question—Kilmar Abrego Garcia—wasn’t just a family man, as The Atlantic tried to portray. He was, in fact, a known member, and reportedly a leader, of MS-13, a criminal organization recently designated by President Trump as a Foreign Terrorist Organization (FTO).
