Kamala’s Copycat Scandal Deepens!

Vice President Kamala Harris is embroiled in a deepening plagiarism scandal that’s sending shockwaves through political circles. Just days after accusations surfaced claiming she copied parts of her book, Smart on Crime, new allegations have emerged pointing to further instances where Harris allegedly lifted the words and ideas of others—this time during her congressional testimony.

A recent report from the Washington Free Beacon reveals that large portions of Harris’ testimony presented to Congress were almost entirely identical to a statement made by Republican Illinois district attorney Paul Logli. The scandal, which began with conservative activist Christopher Rufo accusing Harris of plagiarizing content from Wikipedia and other sources for her 2009 book, now appears to be expanding.

According to the Free Beacon, the newly uncovered incident took place in 2007, when Harris delivered a written statement to the House Judiciary Committee. The statement was intended to support legislation designed to create a student loan repayment program for prosecutors—a worthy cause. However, the troubling aspect is that much of the testimony was nearly identical to an earlier statement from Logli, who had spoken in favor of the same bill two months prior in front of the Senate Judiciary Committee.
