Kamala’s Clip: ‘Who OK’d This?’

Vice President Kamala Harris’ first video message following the election results left many social media users scratching their heads. Released on Tuesday through the official X account of the Democratic Party, the video was intended to rally her supporters in the wake of the election, but it quickly sparked a wave of comments about the VP’s demeanor and the overall tone of the message.

In the video, Harris tried to motivate her followers who were feeling down after the election, reminding them that their power had not been taken away. “I just have to remind you, don’t let anybody take your power from you. You have the same power that you did before Nov. 5, and you have the same purpose that you did. And you have the same ability to engage and inspire. So don’t ever let anybody or any circumstance take your power from you,” she urged.

However, what was meant to be a reassurance seemed to fall flat with many viewers. Harris continued with an emotional appeal, stating, “I’m saying that in the darkest moments, people lose faith in that. Are there people out there that feel that way? And you reminded people that, yes, there are, and there are a lot of us. And that strength cannot be taken from us. That is our strength, it cannot be taken from us.”
