Kamala Harris EXPLODES Behind the Scenes

>> Continued From the Previous Page <<

Watching from a hotel in Los Angeles, Harris was preparing for what should have been a routine media push in support of her boss. But the train wreck on stage left the campaign scrambling — and left Harris stunned that panic was setting in across the party.

“She didn’t say much as she watched but occasionally asked those with open laptops what people were saying,” the book recounts. That’s right — the second most powerful person in the free world was relying on laptop gossip rather than seeing what was plain to every American watching: Biden bombed.

While Democrats across the board were sounding the alarm, Harris allegedly couldn’t understand the urgency. “Harris appeared surprised that the panic had reached this level so quickly,” Tapper and Thompson wrote.

Campaign aides even suggested she cancel interviews to avoid upstaging Biden. But Harris pressed on — and fumbled.

“She and her team began brainstorming how they could at once address the poor performance and defend the president,” the book explains. The delay was so bad she missed a scheduled interview with CBS and was late for another.

Five minutes before going live on CNN, Harris decided to spin Biden’s implosion with the line: acknowledge the “slow start” but highlight a “strong finish.” That’s like trying to explain away a burning building by saying, “Sure, the fire started fast, but look how nicely it finished smoldering.”

“He had been asking the questions the nation had been wondering, but she took it personally.”

Harris reportedly stewed after the interview, accusing Cooper — one of the friendliest faces in mainstream media — of disrespect.

“This m********r doesn’t treat me like the d* vice president of the United States. I thought we were better than that.”

Let that sink in: instead of being concerned about Biden’s crumbling credibility, Harris was more upset about being asked tough questions — by a left-leaning host no less.

This wasn’t a one-off misstep. The book paints Harris as perpetually cautious, unwilling to offer any independent views for fear of looking “disloyal.” That cowardice, according to Democrat insiders, made many nervous about handing her the baton after Biden inevitably stepped aside in July.

Even more damning: Trump’s campaign didn’t need to say a word in response to the debate. They simply aired a brutal ad featuring only Biden stumbling through his answers — because it was that bad.

And Harris? She watched it unfold, shrugged, and thought she could patch things up with a canned line.

If Democrats were hoping to build a case for Kamala in 2028, Original Sin rips it apart. The party’s base is increasingly vocal about their buyer’s remorse. And this meltdown — equal parts ego and denial — only adds fuel to the fire.

One anecdote may sum it up best: while the country was cringing at Biden’s collapse, Harris was fuming about Anderson Cooper’s tone.

No wonder Democrats are sweating 2028. The woman next in line couldn’t even handle one bad night without exploding behind closed doors.
