The moment Patel uttered those words, eyebrows across the conservative movement shot up.
When Bartiromo challenged the assertion by pointing out, “People don’t believe it,” Patel didn’t budge.
“Well, I mean, listen, they have a right to their opinion,” Patel said. “But as someone who has worked as a public defender, as a prosecutor, who’s been in that prison system… you know a suicide when you see one. And that’s what that was.”
Bongino echoed the claim, saying bluntly:
“He killed himself. Again, you want me to… I’ve seen the whole file. He killed himself.”

Alex Jones and the Conservative Base: “We’re Not Buying It”
The reaction from the grassroots was swift. Infowars host Alex Jones, never shy to call out inconsistencies, ripped into the narrative.
“Overall, I think Kash Patel and Dan Bongino are doing a great job, but on this claim that Epstein’s death is not a cover-up I call bullshit,” Jones declared.
Jones and others pointed out the mountain of red flags:
- James Comey’s daughter, Maurene, was in charge of the investigation — and allegedly lost the video footage due to a “technical error.”
- The guards “fell asleep” and later falsified records.
- Multiple cameras malfunctioned at the same time.
- Epstein’s cellmate was conveniently removed hours before his death.
- Forensic expert Dr. Michael Baden observed injuries “more consistent with homicidal strangulation.”
How does all this happen inside a maximum-security federal lockup known for its iron-clad procedures?
As Jones asked, “Are you starting to connect the dots?”
Bongino: “There Is No There There” on Trump Assassination Plots?
Perhaps even more jarring than their Epstein stance was Bongino’s dismissal of multiple high-level assassination attempts against President Trump.
“If there was a big, explosive ‘there’ there… we would have told you,” Bongino claimed. “In some of these cases, the ‘there’ you’re looking for is not there.”
That statement stunned many, especially given Bongino’s long-standing reputation as a whistleblower who exposed corruption in federal law enforcement.
It also stands in sharp contrast to the facts.

That’s not all. New court documents also revealed another disturbing plot involving Ryan Routh, who was allegedly attempting to purchase a Stinger missile with the goal of assassinating Trump.
These aren’t wild conspiracy theories — these are documented court records.

For a leadership duo once heralded as crusaders against the Deep State, this public allegiance to the official narrative has stunned supporters.
Instead of blowing the whistle on shady federal operations or admitting that unanswered questions remain, Patel and Bongino appear to be defending the very institutions they once opposed.
If nothing else, their comments have sparked a reckoning among Trump’s base. Is the FBI under new leadership truly committed to truth and transparency — or have even the strongest voices been pressured into submission?
