Sen. Jon Ossoff is making one thing clear as speculation begins to swirl around the Democratic Party’s future leadership. Despite being floated as a possible contender in the 2028 presidential race, the Georgia Democrat says he has no intention of pursuing the White House.
During a recent interview with Jen Psaki, Ossoff shut down the chatter directly and without hesitation. Instead of entertaining national ambitions, he emphasized his commitment to his current role and his home state.
“I have zero interest in running for president in 2028. I love serving the state of Georgia. I’ve got two young daughters,” he said.
The senator’s remarks come as he prepares for a critical reelection battle that could determine the balance of power in Washington. For Ossoff, the focus is not on future campaigns but on maintaining his seat and helping Democrats hold influence in Congress.
