An Illinois judge released a 31-year-old man from custody after police allegedly discovered him carrying eight Molotov cocktails and a hand-drawn map containing references to a local mosque.
The suspect, identified as Hamed M. Alsaidi, had also reportedly been ruled inadmissible to the United States on two previous occasions.
Yet despite prosecutors raising concerns about the seriousness of the allegations and his potential flight risk, Alsaidi was released under electronic monitoring.
