A federal judge in Maryland just handed a major victory to the left’s radical DEI agenda, permanently blocking President Trump’s effort to remove taxpayer-funded “diversity, equity, and inclusion” programs from America’s schools.
Earlier this year, the Department of Education moved to clean up what it described as “pervasive and repugnant race-based preferences” that had turned universities into indoctrination factories. In a strongly worded directive, the Department warned every institution taking federal dollars to dismantle DEI offices, stop race-based hiring and admissions, and end discriminatory programs disguised as “inclusion.”
The ultimatum was simple: comply within 14 days or lose federal funding. The order also demanded schools end racially segregated graduations, scholarships, and partnerships with activist groups that profit from DEI. The Department made clear—those who ignored the warning would face “swift consequences,” including the total withdrawal of federal aid.
