According to recent rumors, Speaker of the House Mike Johnson (R-LA) might fulfill the pledge made by his predecessor to make the surveillance tape from January 6th public.
The clearance process has already started, according to a recent post by Blaze Media writer Steve Barker of The Pragmatic Constitutionalist.

He wrote, “I’m pleased to announce the approval process for
@theblaze to release #Jan6 Capitol CCTV videos and images is back on track under@SpeakerJohnson’s sanction. I will post images and an official statement here on X later today or first thing tomorrow. Stay tuned.”
This information was also revealed by independent journalist Nick Sortor in a different post on a well-known social media site.
The “Full release of J6 tapes” was the latest demand made by Congressman Matt Gaetz (R-FL) of Speaker McCarthy. Gaetz continued by telling McCarthy that he was not abiding by the arrangement that had made it possible for him to be appointed Speaker.
It’s very possible that the Louisiana Republican was also presented with a similar offer during the private talks that led to Speaker Johnson’s appointment.
