Democrats and establishment Republicans once hailed Fetterman as a rising star, someone who could appeal to working-class voters while toeing the party line. He occasionally strayed, like when he dismissed Kamala Harris’ claim that Donald Trump was a fascist. He even took a firm stance against the pro-Hamas wing of his party, standing against anti-Israel rhetoric that has become rampant among the radical Left.
