Jeffries Freezes When Asked This

House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries walked into a New York television studio hoping to make the case that Americans are struggling under President Donald Trump’s leadership.

Instead, he found himself defending the painful economic realities many voters still associate with the Biden administration.

During a Monday appearance on Fox 5 New York’s “Good Day New York,” Jeffries attempted to focus the conversation on affordability, rising costs, and economic uncertainty. But the discussion quickly shifted when the hosts challenged his claims and reminded viewers of the inflation crisis that exploded during Democratic control of Washington.

What followed was an increasingly uncomfortable exchange that put Jeffries on the defensive.

The Democratic leader argued that instability in the Middle East and concerns surrounding the Strait of Hormuz have contributed to economic uncertainty and higher costs for American consumers.

Jeffries suggested that ongoing tensions overseas are creating additional pressure on family budgets at a time when many Americans are already feeling squeezed.

But co-host Rosanna Scotto was not prepared to let the argument go unchallenged.
