But critics aren’t buying Tapper’s sudden shift. Many are labeling it a shameless attempt to rewrite his own history and capitalize on a political disaster he once helped to shield.
For years, Tapper brushed off legitimate concerns about Biden’s apparent cognitive decline, chalking up the president’s often incoherent remarks to a stutter and repeatedly defending him on-air.
