In a dramatic escalation that could pull the United States into yet another Middle Eastern conflict, Israel is now pressuring the Biden administration to formally join its military operations targeting Iranian nuclear and military assets. While Washington has offered some behind-the-scenes coordination, American forces have so far avoided any direct offensive role—at least publicly.
According to a bombshell report by The Jerusalem Post, Israeli officials are working to bring the U.S. fully into what is now an expanding operation against Iran. The effort is centered around what the Israeli military has dubbed “Operation Rising Lion”—a relentless air assault that began in the early hours of Friday.
Israeli fighter jets unleashed a barrage of airstrikes aimed at critical Iranian targets, including the Natanz nuclear facility. Reports confirm that multiple high-value individuals were eliminated, including top commanders from the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), senior Iranian military officials, and nuclear scientists believed to be central to Iran’s clandestine weapons program.
The strikes are expected to continue “for days or even weeks,” according to Israeli security officials familiar with the mission’s planning.
