Federal agents have thwarted what they say could have been one of the most terrifying domestic terror plots in recent memory — a Halloween-weekend attack allegedly inspired by ISIS.
According to multiple law enforcement sources, the FBI arrested five suspects in Michigan on Friday morning, preventing what could have been a bloody assault timed for Halloween, which the group reportedly called “pumpkin day.”
The Chilling Discovery
FBI Director Kash Patel confirmed the takedown on X, writing, “This morning the FBI thwarted a potential terrorist attack and arrested multiple subjects in Michigan who were allegedly plotting a violent attack over Halloween weekend.”
The operation reportedly unfolded across the Detroit suburbs of Dearborn and Inkster, where agents moved in after days of close surveillance. Investigators say the group had discussed launching an attack around Halloween, but it remains unclear if they had chosen a target or finalized their timing.
