Upcoming in a hospital close to you!
The largest public hospital in Denver is experiencing financial difficulties as a result of the uncontrolled immigration issue and Joe Biden’s border dilemma.
The Denver Gazette claims that although the hospital system does not inquire about or monitor patients’ immigration status, “In 2022, Denver Health saw $125 million in ‘uncompensated care.’ Last year, it ballooned to $135 million. In 2020, the price of uncompensated care stood at $60 million.”

The increase in unpaid care expenses is consistent with 37,571 new immigrants moving into the city.
Dr. Taylor McCormick, Denver Health’s associate director of pediatric emergency medicine, stated, “Overall, these patients don’t have medical insurance.”
“Denver Health is eating the cost for many of these visits.”
To aid with the financial strain of providing treatment to illegal persons, the hospital has applied for assistance from FEMA.
As reported by the Denver Post, Denver Health CEO Donna Lynne expressed concern that the facility is facing an urgent financial crisis as a result of unforeseen expenses related to visits by undocumented immigrants. “Because our costs exceed our revenues, we are turning down patients every day, particularly in the area of mental health and substance abuse.”
Denver Health’s Chief Government and Community Affairs Officer, Dr. Steven Federico, has voiced his worries.
ALERT! Major Water Restrictions In Effect!
According to The Denver Gazette:
Federico said that the surge in newly arrived immigrants seeking medical attention was mostly responsible for the $10 million increase in uncompensated treatment between 2022 and 2023.
Federico declared that the health system hopes to rebound and reach breakeven in 2023 following a $30 million loss in 2022.
“It’s a difficult dilemma of how we best meet their health care needs when health care has not been part of the equation,” Federico said.
Federico reports that the number of new South and Central American immigrant patients has significantly increased. This translates to about 8,000 people and 20,000 visits overall.
The lack of infectious disease testing by the Border Patrol adds to the burden on the American healthcare system.
The Biden administration was approached by left-leaning sanctuary city mayors, including Denver Mayor Mike Johnson, who made a major request for $5 billion in government money.
Recently, Dr. Federico spoke about the urgent humanitarian situation on Fox News.
