In a chilling reminder of just how dangerous Joe Biden’s open border agenda has become, an off-duty U.S. Border Patrol agent was gunned down Saturday night in New York City — and the shooter was an illegal alien with a criminal history and a standing deportation order.
According to law enforcement sources, the 42-year-old agent was relaxing near the Hudson River with a female companion at Fort Washington Park when two thugs on a moped targeted them for a robbery around 11:50 p.m. One of the suspects — later identified as Miguel Francisco Mora Nunez, an illegal alien from the Dominican Republic — didn’t hesitate to open fire.
The illegal alien fired at point-blank range, striking the federal agent in the face and left arm. Despite being seriously wounded, the agent courageously returned fire, hitting Nunez and stopping the violent assault in its tracks.
The second suspect fled the scene and remains at large.
Authorities say Nunez was previously arrested for multiple felonies, including assault in the 2nd and 3rd degree. He had already been ordered to be deported — but like thousands of others under Biden’s lax enforcement, he was allowed to remain in the country. That mistake nearly cost a federal officer his life.
