A heated confrontation between federal agents and a group of left-wing activists outside a Home Depot in Encinitas, California, has exploded online—sparking nationwide outrage and support depending on which side of the political spectrum you’re on.
The incident, captured on video and posted to Instagram by a user going by “@life_by_dani_,” shows multiple women aggressively interfering with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers as they attempted to detain two suspected illegal aliens in a store parking lot.
“I was driving home from Trader Joe’s this morning after I dropped my son off at summer camp and saw ICE tying these people up at Home Depot,” the poster wrote in a dramatic caption, attempting to cast the detainment as some dystopian kidnapping. “I watched as these two people were disappeared into unmarked vehicles, with one of the ICE vehicles trying to back into me when I wasn’t looking.”
