Those baseless claims spread quickly online, damaging Melania’s reputation and, according to her attorney, causing “overwhelming financial and reputational harm.”
Melania’s attorney Alejandro Brito gave Hunter until August 7 at 5 p.m. to apologize and retract his lies. Hunter ignored the demand.
When asked again by Channel 5 host Andrew Callaghan in a follow-up interview if he would apologize, Hunter lashed out with a crude response.
“F*** that! That’s not going to happen,” Hunter snapped.
That single outburst told the American people everything they needed to know about Hunter Biden’s character.
Instead of correcting himself, Hunter tried to justify his remarks by citing Michael Wolff, a man widely known for making up stories.
“What I said is what I have heard and seen reported and written, primarily from Wolff,” Hunter said.
He also pointed to a 2019 New York Times article claiming Epstein once bragged about introducing Donald Trump to Melania.
But here’s the problem – those stories were never verified, and many outlets later retracted them. The Daily Beast even pulled its article and issued an apology.
Even Democrat strategist James Carville admitted he was wrong, saying:
“In last week’s podcast episode, we spoke with Judd Legum. After the episode, we received a letter from Melania Trump’s lawyer. We took a look at what they complained about, and we took down the video and edited out those comments from the episode. I also take back these statements and apologize.”
Hunter left out those details.
Hunter’s latest smear is part of a disturbing trend. The Biden clan has a history of going after the women in Trump’s family.
This is the same man who abandoned his own children, had affairs during his brother’s illness, and carried on with his brother’s widow. Now he feels entitled to insult America’s First Lady with baseless rumors.
A source close to Melania told Fox News Digital that Hunter and his allies even “leaked the letter” from her lawyer to friendly media, showing “how deeply concerned they are about Hunter’s serious liability for spreading defamatory lies.”
Constitutional law expert Jonathan Turley believes Melania has a strong case. He pointed out that Hunter’s reliance on Michael Wolff – a “serial fabulist” – only makes things worse.
Other outlets have already issued apologies and corrections, which strengthens Melania’s case further. And Hunter’s refusal to retract could prove “actual malice,” the legal threshold needed for defamation lawsuits involving public figures.
