House Speaker Mike Johnson has declared that Republicans in Congress will take steps to solidify former President Donald Trump’s executive actions into law, preventing future administrations from undoing his agenda.
During his speech at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC), Johnson emphasized that the GOP is committed to ensuring Trump’s policies endure. “The president [has] 300 executive actions already, and we’re going to codify so much of what he’s doing so the next team can’t unwind it,” he stated to enthusiastic applause.

Trump’s early days back in office have been marked by an aggressive policy push, with 108 executive actions in just four weeks—73 executive orders, 23 proclamations, and 12 memorandums. Many of these directives tackle border security, gender policy, and government spending.
