Homan: Sanctuary Mayors Could Be ARRESTED!

Two judges—one in New Mexico and another in Wisconsin—have already been cuffed and charged. Their alleged crime? Aiding illegal aliens in evading federal immigration authorities.

Milwaukee County Judge Hannah Dugan, 65, was arrested Friday morning and now faces two felony counts. According to court documents, she helped an undocumented Mexican national, Eduardo Flores-Ruiz, dodge ICE agents at the courthouse after a pretrial conference.

“Specifically, the complaint says Dugan assisted Eduardo Flores-Ruiz, an undocumented Mexican immigrant, avoid being arrested by federal immigration officials at the Milwaukee County Courthouse after he appeared in her courtroom for a pretrial conference on April 18. Flores-Ruiz is facing three misdemeanor battery counts,” the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported.

“Two federal agents eventually chased Flores-Ruiz down outside the courthouse and apprehended him at West State Street and North 10th Street downtown, according to the complaint,” the report added.

The situation isn’t isolated to Wisconsin.

In New Mexico, former Judge Joel Cano and his wife were both arrested after allegedly harboring an illegal alien tied to Venezuela’s Tren de Aragua—a gang officially labeled as a terrorist group by the Trump administration.

Photos uncovered by authorities reportedly show the Canos not only hiding the suspect but also supplying him with firearms. If true, the implications are explosive—and deeply criminal.

“Nobody Should Be Surprised”

Homan didn’t mince words in a follow-up statement posted to social media. His message was loud and clear: no one is above the law.

“Nobody should be surprised by the arrest of two judges. I have said many times within the past few months, that people can choose to support illegal immigration and not assist ICE in removing criminal illegal aliens from our communities, BUT DON’T CROSS THAT LINE,” he said on X.

“If you actively impede our enforcement efforts or if you knowingly harbor or conceal illegal aliens from ICE you will be prosecuted. These actions are felonies. More to come…”

Fury in the Courtroom

Attorney General Pam Bondi added more fuel to the fire this week during a Fox News appearance, recounting the tense scene in Dugan’s courtroom as ICE agents attempted to apprehend Flores-Ruiz.

“The judge screams at the immigration officers. She’s furious. Visibly shaken. Upset. Sends them off to talk to the chief judge,” Bondi said. “You can’t make this up.”

A New Phase in the Immigration War?

These arrests may mark the beginning of a broader crackdown on sanctuary city enablers who actively obstruct federal immigration laws.

While Democrats continue to promote open-border policies, the Trump administration and its allies appear to be drawing a hard line: harboring illegal aliens, especially criminals, will no longer be tolerated—and officials who violate immigration law will be held accountable.

With Homan’s ominous “more to come” hanging in the air, the question now isn’t if more sanctuary officials will be arrested—it’s when.
