According to the volunteer, this helicopter was not part of their authorized operations. “THIS WAS NOT ONE OF OUR HELOS!” she emphasized, sparking concerns about who exactly was behind the disruption.
The sighting of the unmarked black SUVs shortly before the helicopter’s arrival only deepened suspicions. The SUVs reportedly did a “slow roll” near the distribution site before disappearing from view, leaving witnesses uneasy.
One of the biggest questions raised in the aftermath of the incident is the legality of unmarked helicopters operating within U.S. borders. The volunteer acknowledged that while some special forces and private contractors are known to use unmarked helicopters, the situation still raises legal concerns.
“But we know SF can and does, and we know some private contractors do (not sure of the legalities on that though)…,” she said, noting the potential involvement of special forces or private military contractors in the operation.
The video, posted on TikTok, has since gone viral, showing the aftermath of the helicopter’s interference, with the distribution area in disarray. Supplies that were carefully organized for hurricane victims lay scattered across the site, their intended purpose thwarted.

As the video gains traction online, the local community is left with more questions than answers. The volunteer, in her post, voiced concerns about the true identity and intentions of those behind the helicopter.
“So who were they? Why were they here? Why were they masked up? I’ve done plenty of helo ops with Coast Guard helos, and I know a practiced rotor wash when I see it, and our pilots never masked up this way,” she said. The fact that the helicopter crew was masked only intensified the mystery surrounding the event.
Local authorities have yet to issue any statements regarding the incident, and no official investigation has been launched as of now.

According to reports from the Associated Press, the death count stood at 225 on Friday, with two more fatalities confirmed the following day in South Carolina. Recovery teams continue their grim search for bodies, with many still unaccounted for, leaving uncertainty about how many victims remain missing.
North Carolina has borne the brunt of the storm’s fury, with about half of the fatalities occurring in the state. The remaining deaths have been reported in Georgia and South Carolina, and officials fear that the number may rise further as rescue efforts continue.
As communities across the Southeast struggle to rebuild in the aftermath of Helene, the destruction of hurricane relief supplies in Burnsville only adds to the heartache and frustration of those affected.
For now, the question remains: who was behind this brazen act, and why? As the community seeks answers, the unsettling presence of unmarked helicopters and black SUVs continues to loom large in Burnsville, casting a shadow over the town’s recovery efforts.
