CENTCOM: Hormuz Traffic Flowing Despite Iran’s Claims

Despite fresh rhetoric from Tehran suggesting the Strait of Hormuz had once again been shut down, U.S. military officials say reality on the water tells a very different story.

According to U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM), commercial traffic through one of the world’s most critical maritime corridors remained active on Friday, with dozens of vessels safely moving through the strategic passage while American forces continued operations in the region.

The update directly contradicts claims made by Iranian military officials earlier in the day, who suggested that transit through the narrow waterway had effectively been halted amid growing regional tensions.
