That concern exploded after Harvey Levin, founder of TMZ, revealed disturbing details about a ransom note his outlet received. Levin discussed the letter during an appearance on Hannity, and what he described has investigators racing against the clock.
According to Levin, the message was nothing like the fake ransom attempts that often surface in high profile cases. This one showed an intimate understanding of Nancy Guthrie’s home and personal belongings.
The note demanded payment in Bitcoin and referenced the precise location of Nancy’s Apple Watch inside the house. That single detail immediately raised red flags.
