Vice President Kamala Harris allayed growing concerns over President Joe Biden’s health by telling the Wall Street Journal that she is ready to take on the duties of the office.
Just two days had passed since Special Counsel Robert Hur decided that, in spite of President Biden, 81, mishandling secret papers, no criminal charges should be brought, in part because of his deteriorating memory.

According to the article, he was an “elderly man with a poor memory” and “diminished faculties.”
The WSJ asked Harris, “Do voters’ concerns about President Biden’s age mean she must convince them she is ready to serve?”
“I am ready to serve. There’s no question about that,” Harris answered. She further mentioned that everyone who observes her at work “walks away fully aware of my capacity to lead.”
According to the survey, there has been a notable increase in public discussion about Harris’s possible presidential aspirations.
“There was always going to be a lot of scrutiny and pressure on her in the 2024 campaign, and that moment’s here now,” The publication was informed by Jennifer Palmieri, who worked for Hillary Clinton’s 2016 campaign as well as in the Obama and Clinton administrations. “I think that the special counsel’s report has sort of accelerated that moment.”
