In a conversation that’s set political media ablaze, Fox News titan and longtime Trump ally Sean Hannity stirred up a frenzy over whether Donald Trump could somehow make a run in 2028. While the Constitution clearly limits presidents to two terms, that hasn’t stopped the media circus from obsessing over the possibility—and Hannity just played them like a fiddle.

Appearing on the Full Send podcast, Hannity was asked if there was any truth behind the talk of Trump defying the two-term limit and running again after 2028.

“I love it because they bubble and fizz like Alka-Seltzer and Happy Dad,” Hannity said with a laugh, referring to the media’s outrage. “Listen, it would be an interesting challenge. Ultimately, it’s a constitutional issue. Um, as he said, but read the next sentence. I’m not thinking about it. It’s way too early in my administration. But again, he’s taking up space in people’s minds, which I find funny.”
The buzz began when President Trump, during a signing ceremony in the Oval Office, was peppered with questions about the possibility of a third term. Instead of shutting the door entirely, Trump gave a trademark tease that only added fuel to the speculation.
