According to a recent report by The New York Times, China’s April 4 directive covers six heavy rare earth metals and rare earth magnets—both of which are overwhelmingly controlled by the Chinese regime. “The metals, and special magnets made with them, can now be shipped out of China only with special export licenses,” the report stated.
