On-air fireworks erupted this week after longtime co-host Whoopi Goldberg launched into a heated tirade against President Donald Trump during an episode of The View. But it was what happened the following day on The Five that sent social media into overdrive.
Goldberg’s remarks came during a discussion surrounding Trump’s comments on negotiations with Iran and the administration’s focus on preventing Tehran from obtaining nuclear weapons. Instead of debating policy specifics, Goldberg veered into an emotional broadside that left even her co-hosts visibly stunned.
“It’s deeply unserious, it’s de-balled, whatever it is,” Goldberg said. “It’s not what America should be seeing.”
When fellow co-host Sara Haines pressed her on whether she meant “castrated,” Goldberg doubled down without hesitation.
The comments instantly sparked backlash online, with critics accusing the daytime host of crossing yet another line in the media’s ongoing obsession with attacking Trump at every turn.
But the biggest response came from Fox News personality Greg Gutfeld, who unloaded during Thursday’s broadcast of The Five.
