Guilty? Antifa Terror Trial Verdict Is In!

A federal courtroom in Fort Worth delivered a stunning verdict Friday that could mark a turning point in how violent extremist groups on the far left are prosecuted in the United States.

A jury found nine individuals connected to a North Texas Antifa cell guilty in connection with a violent assault on an Immigration and Customs Enforcement detention facility. The case is widely viewed as the first successful use of terrorism-related charges against members tied to the leftist extremist movement.

The verdict follows a lengthy trial centered on a brazen Independence Day attack last year on the Prairieland ICE Detention Center in Alvarado, Texas. Prosecutors described the operation as a coordinated ambush designed to lure federal officers into the open before unleashing gunfire.

Authorities say the plot began late on the night of July 4 when police in Alvarado received a report about an armed individual behaving suspiciously outside the detention center.

When officers arrived to investigate, the situation escalated quickly.

Gunfire erupted from multiple attackers hiding nearby, striking one Alvarado police officer in the neck. The wounded officer was airlifted to a hospital in Fort Worth and ultimately survived the attack.
