Grassley Breaks Silence on Trump’s Recess Demand!

>> Continued From the Previous Page <<

According to Grassley, Democrats have taken obstruction to a new level. Despite successfully moving some of Trump’s most high-profile nominees through the Judiciary Committee, there’s still a daunting backlog of 135 individuals waiting for confirmation—many of them for critical judicial positions.

Even as Grassley pledged to keep the Senate working, the spotlight now turns to Majority Leader Thune. Will he take the lead and keep lawmakers in Washington through August, or allow the Democrat obstruction machine to continue stalling progress?

Thune has yet to make a definitive decision, but he’s clearly feeling the pressure. Speaking to reporters last Monday, he admitted that the idea of canceling the recess is on the table.

“We’re thinking about it. We want to get as many nominees through the pipeline as we can,” Thune said.

“We’re going to be looking at all the options in the next weeks to try and get as many of those across the finish line as we can,” he added.

Thune has been vocal in recent days about the scale of the Democratic blockade. During a Thursday appearance on Fox News Radio’s “Brian Kilmeade Show,” Thune made a shocking revelation about how the Biden-era Senate is handling Trump’s picks.

“This is the first president in history who has never had, at this point in his presidency, a civilian nominee approved either by unanimous consent or voice vote in the Senate,” Thune said.

That staggering fact underscores the political warfare underway in Washington. The Democrats, crippled by their obsession with opposing Trump, appear to be doing everything possible to prevent this president from reshaping the federal judiciary.

“As we head into the August break we need to get a whole bunch more confirmed, and we intend to do that,” Thune affirmed.

And he didn’t stop there. Thune went on to slam the left’s all-out war on Trump’s agenda.

“Because of the way the Democrats are playing in their Trump Derangement Syndrome, they’re putting up an unprecedented level of obstruction,” he warned. “I think the only way to beat that is to just grind them down.”

The message is clear: Democrats are not playing fair, and Republicans are done waiting. With Grassley and Trump aligned, the pressure is building for Thune to act. America’s judiciary can’t wait any longer—and neither can the American people.

If Senate Republicans want to fulfill their promises and confirm Trump’s nominees, there’s no time for summer breaks. The clock is ticking—and the country is watching.
