Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker has made it crystal clear where he stands on border enforcement — and it’s not with the law enforcement officers trying to secure the country. The Democrat governor openly vowed to target and prosecute Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents once former President Donald Trump is no longer in power.
Pritzker delivered the stunning remarks during an interview with FOX 32 Chicago this week as federal immigration officers intensified their operations in the sanctuary city of Chicago. Instead of cooperating with federal law enforcement, the governor hinted at possible legal retribution against them.
“The tables will turn one day,” Pritzker explained.
He went on to threaten ICE personnel with future legal action, saying, “These people should recognize that maybe they’re not gonna get prosecuted today, although we’re looking at doing that, but they may get prosecuted after the Trump administration because the statute of limitations would not have run out.”
This chilling statement reveals how far some Democrat officials are willing to go to undermine federal immigration enforcement. Rather than focus on criminals illegally entering the country, Pritzker appears more interested in targeting the men and women tasked with upholding federal law.
