Republicans are intensifying pressure on Senate leadership as the fight over the SAVE America Act reaches a critical stage.
South Carolina Republican Sen. Darline Graham announced Monday that she is prepared to block the Senate’s planned summer recess unless lawmakers vote on the SAVE America Act. Her decision places additional pressure on Senate Majority Leader John Thune while aligning her closely with President Donald Trump’s demand that the Senate remain in session until the legislation receives a vote.
Graham described the election-integrity proposal as one of the party’s highest priorities and made it clear she is willing to stay in Washington for as long as it takes.
