Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger is assembling a new bipartisan task force aimed at tightening election safeguards, improving transparency, and confronting problems that could undermine voter confidence.
The newly created Election Integrity Task Force will bring together prominent Republicans and Democrats, election officials, attorneys, law enforcement representatives, and civic leaders. Rather than operating as a temporary commission, the group is expected to serve as an ongoing forum for examining weaknesses in Georgia’s election system and recommending practical improvements.
Raffensperger says Georgia already operates one of the country’s strongest election systems, but argued that maintaining public trust requires constant attention.
