CBS News correspondent Matt Gutman is facing serious allegations stemming from his years at ABC News, just as his appearances behind the “CBS Evening News” anchor desk have reportedly helped deliver stronger ratings.
Former ABC News field producer Samira Said filed a lawsuit in Los Angeles Superior Court on August 14, naming Gutman, American Broadcasting Companies, Inc., The Walt Disney Company, David Herndon, and Does 1 through 100 as defendants.
The lawsuit levels a wide range of allegations tied to Said’s employment at ABC, including discrimination, hostile work environment harassment and retaliation under California’s Fair Employment and Housing Act. It also includes claims involving failure to accommodate, wrongful termination, and intentional infliction of emotional distress.
