Full-Speed Rider Hits BMW—Then Comes the Unbelievable Twist

A dramatic collision in British Columbia has gone viral after a high-powered Suzuki superbike was launched into the air following a violent impact with a turning vehicle at a busy suburban intersection. The incident unfolded on Saturday afternoon and has quickly become one of the most widely shared road-safety clips in recent memory, leaving viewers stunned at the sheer physics of what took place.

The crash occurred at the intersection of Scott Road and 72nd Avenue in North Delta, just south of Vancouver. According to early reports and intersection footage, a silver BMW 3-Series sedan initiated a left turn toward a commercial entrance when it crossed the path of an oncoming motorcycle traveling straight through the junction.

The motorcycle, identified as a Suzuki GSX-R1000R—a liter-class superbike engineered for extreme performance—was approaching at a significant rate of speed. With limited time and distance to react, the rider attempted to brake hard. That emergency input caused the rear wheel to lift off the pavement, destabilizing the bike at the worst possible moment.

From there, the sequence escalated rapidly. The BMW’s front end effectively became an unintended ramp. The 450-pound motorcycle was projected upward, nose-first, clearing the sedan and rising into the intersection airspace before striking a traffic signal structure. The machine then became entangled around the horizontal arm of the pole while the rider was thrown to the roadway below.
