Fox News is losing conservative viewers as a result of Tucker Carlson’s firing. In this regard, despite his departure, a Canadian homosexual rights organization is calling for the removal of Fox News from cable lineups.
Egale Canada, a 2SLGBTQI advocacy organization, voiced worry following comments made by controversial public figure and TV broadcaster Tucker Carlson that sparked outrage. On May 6, Yahoo News published a piece on the topic.
“Fox News may soon be banned from Canadian cable packages, with the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) opening a public consultation process to help come to a decision,” the outlet noted.
In an open letter and petition, Egale Canada claims that Tucker Carlson’s portrayal of the 2SLGBTQI community, particularly those who identify as Two Spirit, trans, nonbinary, and gender non-conforming, has incited hatred and violence. The public can express their opinions on this topic until June 2nd.
This statement was made in a formal letter and was stated as follows: “The programming in question clearly violates Canadian broadcasting standards and is unfit for airing on Canadian networks. The false and alarming claims made by Carlson about 2STNBGN individuals, depicting them as a threat and violent, are unacceptable.”
Following the massacre at the Covenant School in Nashville, Tennessee, Carlson delivered a speech that has garnered attention. Carlson’s programming is sparking debate in the wake of a horrific incident where a transgender shooter killed six people, including three children.
“The state of Tennessee bans the sexual mutilation of children. Children get shot to death in a school. It’s cause and effect. That’s what ABC News is telling you. That’s not far from justifying mass murder, but others took the next step,” Carlson made a note of it.
“A group called the Trans Resistance Network said that the shooter’s death was a complex tragedy that resulted from ‘anti-trans bias.’ The Hershey Chocolate Company’s new trans spokesman, meanwhile, someone called Fae Johnsone, posted messages after the shooting complaining about ‘trans misogyny.’ In Canada, a taxpayer funded trans rights organization put out a statement that ignored the murder of the children in Nashville entirely and instead claimed that there has been an ‘exponential rise in anti-trans violence.’”
Recently, Egale Canada published an open letter urging elected officials to stop the rising tide of anti-2SLGBTQI prejudice. It’s interesting that this was released on March 28th, the day after the horrible shooting at Covenant School, but made no reference to it. It is imperative that leaders assume accountability and deal with this worrying situation.

Carlson has been charged by Egale for distributing false information about 2STNBGN individuals and fomenting animosity toward them. Some observers found Carlson’s purported assertion of preferential treatment for trans people in jobs and opportunity to be inflammatory. Those who disagree with Carlson’s opinions may find interest in the careers part of Egale’s website.
A public hearing may be held, a report issued, a decision made, and approval granted by the CRTC with respect to any complaint or representation made to the Commission or falling under its purview under this Act in accordance with section 18(3) of the Broadcasting Act, provided that doing so is in the public interest.
Our group thinks that in order to decide whether Fox News should remain on the list of non-Canadian programming that is permitted to be distributed in Canada, public input is required. To fulfill the needs of the public, we implore the CRTC to launch public hearings on the possibility of removing Fox News from the list.
Don’t disregard this as a simple caution. According to a report released by the Foundation for Economic Education on May 12, many people may be surprised to learn how closely the Canadian government regulates radio and television broadcasters.
“For one, foreign ownership of broadcasters is significantly restricted. As University of Ottawa law professor Dr. Michael Geist notes, ‘The foreign ownership rules generally limit [broadcast] licensees to 20 percent foreign ownership (up to 33 percent for a holding company). This covers all types of broadcasters including television, radio, and broadcast distributors,’” FEE’s Patrick Carroll wrote.
The Liberal Party of Canada, led by Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, is now assessing whether it would be appropriate to allow Tucker Carlson’s Fox News to air on Canadian cable and satellite networks. This programming’s suitability is being assessed.
Egale Canada’s Director of Communications and Marketing, Jennifer Boyce, stated their satisfaction with the CRTC’s decision to begin Part 1 of the process to omit Fox News from their Canadian distribution.
“We remain committed to the call in our open letter. The issue of Fox News inciting hate, violence, and discrimination in its programming extends beyond one individual.”
Despite Tucker Carlson’s departure, Fox News is still responsible for its left-leaning coverage. The network is under consideration for a Canadian broadcasting ban, and Tucker’s departure is only one component of that.
Tucker Carlson’s termination was a condition of the $800 million settlement between Dominion Voting Systems and Fox News, according to Variety reporter Tatiana Siegel. According to people with direct knowledge of the situation, Dominion wanted to hurt Fox News, with Tucker becoming a collateral damage. As a result, Dominion’s plan of action against Fox is making a big difference.
In conclusion, Carlson has nothing to say on the network since Dominion Voting Systems has paid him not to air anything that would harm their name. Tucker has therefore switched to Twitter, where his enormous fans can still follow him. Under the pretense of protecting Canadian viewers, Fox News without Tucker might be kicked off Canadian cable networks.
The implications are disastrous when conservative media gives up to the left.
