A major shake-up has rocked the FBI as one of its high-ranking officials has been forced out in the wake of an explosive cover-up scandal involving Jeffrey Epstein’s files.
NBC News reported Monday that James Dennehy, who headed the FBI’s New York office, abruptly resigned just days after revelations emerged that his office had been concealing thousands of Epstein-related documents.

“Late Friday, I was informed that I needed to put my retirement papers in today, which I just did,” Dennehy admitted in an internal email obtained by NBC. “I was not given a reason for this decision.”
