In a chilling reminder of the global threats facing American interests, the FBI has announced the capture of a dual U.S.-German citizen accused of orchestrating a terror attack against a U.S. embassy and threatening the life of former President Donald Trump. The suspect, Joseph Neumayer, was taken into custody following a coordinated international effort that spanned from Tel Aviv to New York.

FBI Director Kash Patel broke the news on Sunday, revealing that Neumayer had allegedly planned to launch a firebomb attack on the U.S. Embassy in Israel. Alongside his violent plot, he had also reportedly issued threats against President Trump on social media.
“Joining our partners, I can confirm that today FBI agents arrested Joseph Neumayer, a dual U.S. and German citizen, on allegations of planning to firebomb the United States Embassy in Tel Aviv, Israel — as well as threats made against President Trump’s life on social media,” Patel wrote on X.
Israeli authorities first apprehended Neumayer after embassy personnel discovered a suspicious backpack containing explosive devices. A social media trail allegedly tied to Neumayer laid out his intent to carry out the attack.
