Newly released intelligence documents from President Donald Trump’s administration are pulling back the curtain on what critics have long claimed — a two-tiered justice system inside the federal government. The records paint a stunning picture: aggressive investigations aimed squarely at Trump and his allies, while politically explosive cases involving top Democrats were slowed down, blocked, or quietly shut down.
From 2016 through 2024, federal law enforcement threw nearly everything they had at Trump. Yet, according to these documents, evidence implicating powerful Democrats — from shady dealings at the Clinton Foundation to classified leaks — was buried or ignored, The Washington Examiner confirmed.
Judicial Watch senior investigator Sean Dunagan minced no words when speaking to the outlet:
“During the Biden administration, the Justice Department worked as his private attorneys,” Dunagan said. “Even if one wants to avoid the phrase ‘deep state,’ there certainly is an administrative state, and the DOJ served to protect and ignore evidence and slow-walk investigations and close investigations into people who were close to that power establishment. It’s not how the DOJ is supposed to operate. It was highly selective in who they investigated and how.”
