A heated firestorm is swirling around the National Institutes of Health (NIH), after revelations that the agency is pouring millions of taxpayer dollars into controversial animal experiments — with a prominent Fauci ally leading the charge and shockingly getting cover from PETA.
Nicole Kleinstreuer, Acting Deputy Director at NIH and a known supporter of Dr. Anthony Fauci, has stepped into the spotlight following uproar over recent disclosures from the Gateway Pundit and watchdog group White Coat Waste (WCW). According to WCW’s investigation, NIH under Director Jay Bhattacharya has renewed grants worth millions to fund disturbing projects like drug tests on monkeys at Harvard, cruel experiments on beagle puppies, and even the notorious “Monkey Island” connected to Fauci’s tenure.
This comes despite significant strides under President Donald Trump’s administration, which cracked down on such practices. Both the Department of Veterans Affairs and the Navy took steps to shutter animal research labs deemed inhumane. Now, conservatives and animal welfare advocates alike are questioning why NIH insists on clinging to these controversial tests.
