CNN’s K-File has shed light on a strategic divide in Vice President Kamala Harris’s campaign advertising, which seems to be delivering two starkly different messages to Jewish and Arab voters in key battleground states. The report highlights two ads—one airing in Michigan, primarily addressing Arab Americans, and the other in Pennsylvania, designed to appeal to Jewish Americans. The messages, according to CNN’s Andrew Kaczynski, signal a calculated effort by the Harris campaign to appeal to these voter blocs separately in the final days of the campaign.
In an ad targeting Michigan’s Arab American community, the Vice President expressed her thoughts on Gaza, stating: “What has happened in Gaza over the past nine months is devastating. We cannot allow ourselves to become numb to the suffering. And I will not be silent.” The statement appears to sympathize with those troubled by the ongoing situation in Gaza.

Meanwhile, in Pennsylvania, Harris’s message shifts significantly. In an ad aimed at Jewish voters, she declares strong support for Israel’s right to self-defense: “Let me be clear: I will always stand up for Israel’s right to defend itself, and I will always ensure Israel has the ability to defend itself. Because the people of Israel must never again face the horror that a terrorist organization called Hamas caused on October 7th.”
