Speaking candidly, Lovett confessed that he avoided discussing Biden’s issues out of fear that conservatives would seize on his honesty. “Having the words we’re saying taken out of context and all of a sudden be part of the case against Joe Biden from the right—that would use any person criticizing Joe Biden from the left as a weapon against him,” he said.
Translation? The Democratic Party would rather silence its own than admit its leader is unfit for office.
Lovett framed his silence as a noble act, claiming he was trying to protect “democracy.” But what’s democratic about hiding the mental condition of the Commander-in-Chief from the public?
“So it was about being honest about Joe Biden’s age as a liability while knowing that if he is the nominee, I want to be clear that I thought it was important to make sure we did everything we could to reelect him,” Lovett added.
This isn’t some fringe podcaster ranting online—Lovett is deeply embedded in Democratic politics. And now, he’s just the latest in a string of prominent left-wing voices raising concerns about Biden’s condition.
His comments follow revelations in “Original Sin,” a new book co-written by CNN’s Jake Tapper and Axios’ Alex Thompson. The book details a coordinated effort within Democratic circles to cover up Biden’s decline from voters and the media.
According to the book, Lovett and fellow “Pod Save America” co-hosts Jon Favreau and Dan Pfeiffer visited Biden at the White House in April 2024. The visit reportedly left the trio “deeply disturbed,” describing their conversations with the president as “rambling” and “incoherent.”
Yet despite these behind-the-scenes alarms, the White House continues to push the narrative that Biden is sharp, capable, and prepared for another term.
How many more Democrats are sitting on the truth? How many more insiders are biting their tongues while Biden’s handlers prop him up like a weekend-at-Bernie’s president?
The real story here isn’t just about Biden’s decline—it’s about the entire Democratic machine choosing to suppress the truth for political gain. And if they’ll hide something this serious, what else are they willing to bury?
