Evaluation of Adam Schiff’s Involvement in ‘Witch Hunt’ Results In Proposed $16M Fine

Democratic Representative Adam Schiff could be fined a whopping $16 million for his involvement in the Democrats’ initial witch hunt to impeach President Trump, according to legislation presented by Republican Representative Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL). Schiff is charged with acting “dishonorably on many other occasions,” according to the legislation, and he is also accused of lying about his staff’s cooperation with a whistleblower.

As Luna has emphasized, the whistleblower was crucial in starting President Trump’s first impeachment. Luna also made reference to a hearing of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence (HPSCI) on September 26, 2019, during which Schiff allegedly recounted a “false concocted rendition” of a phone call between President Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

The Republican Representative said that for personal political advantage, Schiff abused his position at the HPSCI to support and defend “abusive intelligence investigations” of American individuals.

Additionally, Schiff is charged with using his authority and access to confidential material to launch a “fraudulently based investigation,” which he then allegedly exploited to advance his political career and raise money.

According to a bill that is being considered, Schiff may face a $16 million fine, with the taxpayers footing half of the bill. After conducting an inquiry, the Committee on Ethics came to the conclusion that Schiff had lied, distorted the truth, and handled sensitive material improperly.

Luna is one of several Republicans who has publicly stated that they believe Schiff should be held accountable for his actions throughout the probe. Republicans frequently find Schiff, a seasoned Democrat well known for his harsh criticism of the Trump administration, to be a source of irritation.

On Fox News’ Sunday Morning Futures, Luna (R-FL) recently discussed the House Oversight Committee’s continued effort to hold former House Judiciary Committee head Adam Schiff (D-CA) responsible for spreading misleading information about the Trump-Russia probe. This update provides information on a key initiative to guarantee accuracy and openness in the political sector.

The Florida lawmaker recently introduced a move to reprimand and condemn Schiff, along with a hefty punishment of $16 million. The Durham report, which revealed that the FBI began the Trump-Russia investigation without solid proof of connection, served as the impetus for this decision.

Schiff, though, frequently asserted that he had unique proof of collaboration between Trump and Russian intelligence services while serving as leader of the House Judiciary Committee. “I don’t want to go into specifics, but I will say that there is evidence that is not circumstantial. But as I’ve said all along, there’s plenty of evidence of collusion,” Congressman from California stated to Meet The Press in 2017.

“He is a criminal… and Adam Schiff; you will be held accountable,” Luna previously spoke with Fox News.

She continued by bringing up his assertions that he had seen a “smoking gun” but it had never materialized. “And yet, he was privileged to information that not even I or many of my colleagues would be able to see,” Luna went on to say. “He used that position. He absolutely aided and abetted a corrupt FBI into investigating a sitting president.”

Luna asserted that Schiff’s actions not only brought “dishonor to the House of Representatives,” but “really destroyed the sense of camaraderie that we had in this country,” Additionally, the taxpayers paid 32 million dollars for the Trump-Russia inquiry.
